| World-famous Harefield Hospital in Uxbridge is undergoing a review of its heart transplant programme after four people died within 30 days of their operations.
From July to September, four consecutive deaths within 30 days were reported, whereas no patients died within 30 days last year.
Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust said it will be working with the National Specialised Commissioning Team (NSC Team) and health watchdog the Healthcare Commission over the next month on a review of the heart transplant programme. |
